Asia Cup 2025 is being hosted by India, but all the matches will be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from September 9th to September 28th for 8 teams from Asia. The first match of the tournament is between India and the UAE.

This is the first Asia Cup for Oman, and it is also interesting to note that the prize for winning the Asia Cup 2025 has been increased to 300,000 US dollars.

Asia Cup 2025 has a very simple format with 2 groups. Each group has four teams, which will play each other to choose the best of four.  

Every team in the particular group will need ot play every group in the same group at least once. 

Once we have the top team from each of the two groups, the final match of the tournament will be held between them.

The Asia Cup was started back in 1984 to bring together and celebrate all the Asian cricket teams. Till now, India is the most successful team of the Asia Cup by winning eight titles.

The second-best team in the history of the Asia Cup is Sri Lanka, which has won 6 titles, while Pakistan has won only 2. The Asia Cup is held every 2 years and alternates between the T20 and the ODI format. 

While the tournament initially only featured teams from the Indian subcontinent and its neighbors, it has grown over the years and is now attracting the likes of the Middle East and Hong Kong to the play.
