The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a packed 2026-27 domestic cricket calendar featuring 1,788 matches across formats, age groups, and genders. The season runs from August 2026 through March 2027, covering senior, Under-23, Under-19, and Under-16 competitions in both men’s and women’s cricket.
The men’s Duleep Trophy will open the season on August 23 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, with six zonal teams in action. The Irani Cup follows from October 1 to 5 in Srinagar, where defending Ranji Trophy champions Jammu and Kashmir will face a Rest of India side.

The Ranji Trophy, India’s flagship first-class tournament, retains its two-phase format. Phase one runs from October 11 to November 5, while phase two resumes in January and continues through February. The Elite group fields 32 teams and the Plate group six teams. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy are slotted between the two Ranji phases.
In a notable structural change, the Men’s Under-23 State A Trophy and the Vizzy Trophy have both been converted from one-day to T20 competitions. The Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy Elite knockouts will be staged entirely in Bengaluru and Mysuru.
The BCCI stated the calendar reflects its continued commitment to building a strong and competitive domestic structure across all levels of Indian cricket.
