1. Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah has taken a five-wicket haul twice in the IPL. His first five-wicket haul came during the 2022 season against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Bumrah took his second five-wicket haul in 2024 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Bumrah has taken 183 wickets in 145 matches in the IPL at an average of 22.02. He has taken a four-wicket haul thrice in the league.
2. James Faulkner
James Faulkner was the first bowler to take two five-wicket hauls in the IPL. He did this in the 2013 season while playing for the Rajasthan Royals.

Both of his five-wicket hauls came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Faulkner was the second-highest wicket-taker that season and took 28 wickets in 16 innings at an average of 15.25.
3. Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the first bowler to take a five-wicket haul for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is still the only bowler for SRH to take a five-wicket haul twice in the league.

His first five-wicket haul came during the 2017 season against the Punjab Kings (fka Kings XI Punjab) and the second came in 2023 against the Gujarat Titans.
4. Jaydev Unadkat
Jaydev Unadkat is the only bowler to take a five-wicket haul for two different teams. He took his first five-wicket haul against the Delhi Capitals (fka Delhi Daredevils) in 2013.

In 2017, while playing for the now-defunct Rising Pune Super Giants, Unadkat took five wickets for 30 runs in four overs.
5. Arshdeep Singh
On September 21, 2021, Arshdeep Singh took five wickets for 32 runs in four overs for the Punjab Kings against the Rajasthan Royals.

The Royals got bundled out for 185 runs. However, PBKS lost the match by two runs. Arshdeep was the third bowler to take a five-wicket haul for the franchise after Dimitri Mascarenhas and Ankit Rajpoot.
6. Lakshmipathy Balaji
Lakshmipathy Balaji was the second bowler and the first Indian bowler to take a five-wicket haul in the IPL.

On May 10, 2008, Balaji took five wickets for 24 runs in four overs against the Punjab Kings. In the 20th over of Punjab’s innings, Balaji dismissed Irfan Pathan, Piyush Chawla, and Vikram Singh to complete his five-wicket haul and became the first bowler to take a hat-trick in the IPL.
7. Yuzvendra Chahal
On April 18, 2022, Yuzvendra Chahal took his first five-wicket haul in the IPL while playing for the Rajasthan Royals against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

He was the fourth bowler to take a five-wicket haul for the Royals. Chahal also took a hat-trick in this match in the 17th over, and it was the 21st hat-trick in the IPL.
8. Harbhajan Singh
On April 22, 2011, Harbhajan Singh became the second bowler to take a five-wicket haul for the Mumbai Indians after Lasith Malinga. Harbhajan took five wickets for 18 runs against the Chennai Super Kings.

MI had posted a total of 164 runs for the loss of four wickets while batting first. CSK finished with 156 runs for the loss of nine wickets and lost the match by eight runs. Harbhajan won the Player of the Match award for his bowling performance.
9. Wanindu Hasaranga
On May 8, 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore faced the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 54th match of the season. RCB won the toss and elected to bat.

They piled on 192 runs for the loss of three wickets. Wanindu Hasaranga took five wickets for 18 runs as SRH got bundled out for 125 runs. Hasaranga won the Player of the Match award. It was the last time a bowler from RCB took a five-wicket haul.
10. Ravindra Jadeja
On April 7, 2012, Ravindra Jadeja bowled the best bowling figures for the Chennai Super Kings. CSK took on the Deccan Chargers in the sixth match of the season.

CSK batted first and made 193 runs for the loss of six wickets. Jadeja made 48 runs off 29 deliveries. With the ball, he took five wickets for 16 runs in four overs. Jadeja was the last bowler to take a five-wicket haul for CSK.
